Public-Private Partnership Conference, October 21

The Mayor's Office of Partnerships and Grants Development, in partnership with the Washington Council of Agencies, will host the Fifth Annual Public-Private Partnership Conference on Tuesday, October 21, 2003, at the George Washington University's Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation Conference Center.

Focusing on this year's theme—Partnerships: Creating Opportunities for All—participants can access the information and resources needed to build sustainable, results-driven partnerships that strengthen their organizations and further their mission. Through 17 how-to and two plenary sessions, participants can learn to:

  • Evaluate programs and organizations;
  • Prepare for catastrophic emergencies;
  • Set up policies and procedures for human resource management and fund development;
  • Find and apply for online funding;
  • Negotiate the DC contracting process;
  • Establish partnerships with and obtain funding from the Federal Government;
  • Survive, and even prosper, during lean economic times;
  • And much more!

To register, visit http://www.nonprofitlearning.org. Select "Oct. 21 Public Private Partnership Conference" to download the conference brochure and to register online, or call (202) 457-0540.
