Inside Washington Grantmakers' Giving Report: Foundation Trends in the Washington Region

The Mayor's Office of Partnerships and Grants Development (OPGD) will host an information session on the size, scope, and priorities of the region's foundations. Katherine Jankowski, research director for the foundation section of the Washington Grantmakers' 2004 Region of Givers Report, will lead this in-depth workshop on foundation movers and shakers in the Washington area.

Ms. Jankowski will identify leaders, highlight foundations that have increased giving in recent years, and provide details on the more than $542.5 million that foundations gave to nonprofit organizations in 2003. Attendees will receive a list of the top 100 foundations headquartered in the region.

This session will take place on January 11, 2005, 1-3:30 pm, at One Judiciary Square, 441 4th Street, NW, Room 1114 South, Washington, DC 20001. This event is free, but space is limited. To register by January 7, contact OPGD at (202) 727-8900 or faith.jones@dc.gov.
