OPGD to Host Grant Development Triathlon

April 6, 2006

The Mayor's Office of Partnerships and Grants Development (OPGD) will host a Grant Development Triathlon for local nonprofit organizations.

Experts from local foundations as well as federal and DC government agencies will discuss their upcoming funding opportunities. They will also provide guidance on preparing competitive proposals in response to those opportunities. In addition, a special session on grant writing tips will be part of this event.

The triathlon will take place on May 4, 8:30 am–4 pm, at the Sumner School Museum & Archives, 1201 17th Street, NW, Washington, DC. The museum is located at the northeast corner of 17th and M Streets, across from the National Geographic Society Museum. The closest Metro station is Farragut North (Red Line). There will be a mid-day break for participants to go out for lunch "on your own."

The Grant Development Triathlon is free, but space is limited. To register by May 1: print and fax the response form* to OPGD at (202) 727-1652; email the information to dawn.mitchell@dc.gov; or call (202) 727-8900. If you have any questions, contact Pat Henry at (202) 727-8900.
